The Malaria Pf Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is a rapid lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of Histidine-Rich Protein 2 (HRP-2) specific for Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum) in human fingerstick whole blood and venipuncture whole blood samples of symptomatic patients suspected of having Malaria. The Malaria Pf Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is intended for use by trained health care or laboratory professionals or other health care professionals who have received appropriate training. This product can be used by trained lay providers working in point-of-care settings in resource-limited lower- and middle-income countries. This product is not intended for self-testing. The product is not automated and must be manually performed and interpreted by the trained user.
